Friday night October 10th we’re back for our 2nd Annual Door of Faith Fundraiser at The Duck Dive in Pacific Beach. This event is to benefit the volunteer based orphanage in Baja, Mexico we work with and raise funds to remodel and refurnish the boys dormitory. Last years efforts raised enough money for school supplies for nearly 100 of their kids. Take a look at our visit to DoFO to make the donation in this quick video.
At this years event you can expect to enjoy great house music by Euro Beard (DJ Scooter & Myron Eugene), Lavelle Dupree, Adam Salter and Kanye Asada. Take part in our raffle for a chance to win awesome prizes from Fortune 421, William Painter, Guru Tatoo, Grey Goose, ArtLife and more local business. Get festive with our Dia De Los Muertos face painting and dress up costumes for photos with Arlene Ibarra. We are suggesting a $10 donation at the door which guests will receive a ticket for the raffle prizes (additional raffle tickets are available at $5). Please join in making a difference during this memorable evening of fun and giving back.
The 2013 Give Back Trip to Door of Faith Orphanage
Early this year we decided there was still more work for us to do with the Door of Faith Orphanage in Baja Mexico. After successfully raising over $5000 in 2013 to provide school supplies for nearly 100 kids, we felt we should continue our efforts for these kids in need. So after conversations with the DoFO staff we determined the best need we could help with is raising $7500 to go towards remodeling and refurnishing the boys dormitory.
In order to raise the funds we’ve leveraged our ability to throw events and in the nightlife community and have a couple fundraisers around the corner. First one being at The Duck Dive in Pacific Beach on October 10th and the second being at Quality Social on December 6th in Downtown. We look forward to having you join us for one or both events. If you’re unable to attend and would still like to get involved or make a donation please contact us here!
On May 4th, 2014, thousands of runners around the world will race together to find a cure for spinal cord injuries. This event is the first of it’s kind, where athletes and amateurs will compete against each other across five different continents, with one winner at the end. 100% of the race proceeds go directly to funding spinal cord research. Watch the video to learn more about the first ever Wings for Life World Run.
In this video Wings for Life World Run ambassador Brooke Thabit tells us exactly why spinal cord injury research is so vital and she’s joined by pro surfer Jamie O’Brien, who has become good friends with Brooke and lends his support for this amazing event.
For just $50 you can sign up to run with the Fortune Family and help find a cure for spinal cord injury. SIGN UP HERE and then check back for information about busses leaving from San Diego and Los Angeles to the race location in Santa Clarita California.

Fortune 421 is not just a brand, but a way of life that focuses on being good people, giving back to the community around us and paying it forward. This has been the root of all things Fortune and the way the company has been ran since the beginning. Fortune has been supporting local philanthropy organizations with events like our Annual Bowling for Turkey and Annual Holiday Clothing drive which benefit Stand Up For Kids. We are proud to say that we are committed to donating 4.21% of all our fashion, music and event proceeds through our new Give Back Program.
For our first campaign this past summer we decided to incorporate our love of giving back with our love of travel. We began fundraising for Door of Faith Orphanage (DOFO) just south of Rosarito Mexico to help provide school supplies for over 100 children. All last summer we raised money from our swimwear and clothing sales and then had an end of summer party at Duck Dive which rose over $3000 making the grand total $5243 for DOFO. During our trip to make the donation we discovered there is lots more that can be done for them so we’re continuing our Give Back efforts this year towards DOFO. So ever purchase you make from our online shop is truly sharing the Fortune.

In honor of Groove Cruise 10 going down in the Caribbean this weekend we’re reminiscing of our teams fun adventure last year. We hosted a memorable Fortune 421 event on the pool deck with all our favorite DJs from the West Coast including Donald Glaude, Scooter & Lavelle and Scotty Boy. Over the past 8 years we’ve had countless fond memories with these amazing artists that have shown us so much love from day one. They have been a huge support of our vision for fashion, music and events by sporing our gear, releasing tracks on our label and rocking our parties. We couldn’t be more thankful for them being a part of our Fortune Family.
