All right.  Now that the whole “trap” “dubstep” movement is over, let’s get back to the kind of music that makes girls want to shake their asses and doesn’t sound like transformers having sex.

I’m talking about the music that swept the dance floors in Chicago after disco’s departure in the late 1970s: House.  Songs with a synthesized “four on the floor” beat, syncopated hi-hat and soulful vocal samples that would (hopefully) have The Godfather of House, Frankie Knuckles, head bobbing

Spanish DJ and producer, Groovebox, has been making moves in Europe and had 6 tracks on Beatport’s top 100 charts in both House and Tech House in 2013.  His music is funky, underground tech house that delivers an even bouncy kind of sound that’s light on vocals, but made to dance to.

He’s spent the last two years touring in Europe, gaining regular club and radio support from artists like Mark Knight, Bob Sinclair, Roger Sanchez and more.

But if you’re not planning on jet setting off to Spain anytime soon, Fortune is flying him in for this US debut on March 4, 2014. That’s right, kids.  Fortune is bringing beats, beads and booty shakin’ to San Diego’s Mardi Gras celebration this year!  We’ll also be having him play our Vegas Spring Break trip if you’re up for a quick flight to Las Vegas!
