Top Picks for the 2012 Swimwear Season
The 2012 swimwear season is starting to creep up on us! As an expert on all things swim, I always keep an eye out for new brands and styles, so I was super excited to hear that Fortune 421 has expanded into swimwear. After checking out the new line, I was definitely pleasantly surprised. Check out my favorite styles below.
The first style that caught my eye is the Sangria swimsuit. Although I usually find myself gravitating toward prints, I definitely own my fair share of solid swimwear styles and this colorful bikini is right up my alley. The magenta pink bikini features tangerine ruffle trim detail, which creates a colorful color-block look—a huge 2012 swimwear trend! I love the long triangle top and tie-side Brazilian bottom combo; as an added plus, the bottom’s back ruched detail will help give the appearance of a shapelier derrière, making it the perfect style for ladies with smaller behinds.

Another one of my favorite Fortune 421 swimwear looks is the soft and ultra-feminine Precious bikini. Pastels are making a comeback in both the swimwear and general fashion world this season and I just love baby pink and baby blue together! The striped seersucker bandeau has a sexy sweetheart neckline and looks adorable with the matching moderate swimwear bottom. Both the top and bottom feature adorable pink bow details… how cute!

Finally, I saved the best for last. I absolutely love the Black Betty bikini because of its classic style. The black shirred bandeau and moderate bikini bottom feature an allover black and white polka dot print as well as black chiffon ruffle detail. Little black bikinis and polka dots are both classic looks for swimwear and when married, it creates a truly timeless look for the beach or pool.
