For the sixth year in a row Fortune Industries will be producing its Thanksgiving charity fundraiser to raise money for the homeless teens of San Diego and their Thanksgiving dinner. The last five years have gradually raised more and more money by promoting and bringing together the bar & nightclub industry for the annual bowling tournament. Last years fund-raising exceeded $3000 so we are working hard to surpass that this year with your help! With 100% of proceeds going directly to the Stand Up for Kids Organization this truly is a fun way to get involved and give back this holiday season!
The 6th Annual Industry Tournament will be open to all bars, nightclubs, promoters & dj groups to enter a team of 4 players in which they will go up against each other in a two round tournament. Scores of the 4 players are accumulated to get a team score in which the top 6 teams will move on to the championship round and have a chance to win the trophy & prizes. Prizes will also be given away for highest individual scores and those who bowl a TURKEY (3 strikes in a row). The final prize category this year will be best team spirit so start coordinating those outfits! Entertaining the crowd all night will be the The FAM artists on the turntables so be sure to bring you bowling shoes and your dancing shoes.

If you don't like to bowl but still want to come support this great cause we welcome you to come cheer on your favorite team and just ask for a $10 donation at the door.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING FROM ALL OF US AT FORTUNE INDUSTRIES!
We would like to thank everyone that participated in our 4th Annual Bowling for Turkey event and Industry Tournament on Tuesday, November 16th at East Village Tavern + Bowl. The event was a tremendous success and raised $2,338 for the StandUp For Kids organization. This money will be respectfully used to host a Thanksgiving Day Dinner for San Diego’s homeless teens and to help out with their general needs throughout the holiday season.
With 34 teams competing in the tournament this year and a large amount of spectators, we had an amazing turn out of over 150 of San Diego’s bar and nightlife personnel. We were able to give prizes away to the four highest scoring teams, the top three individual scores, the two most spirited teams (best uniforms) and to the six players that bowled a turkey (three strikes in a row) thanks to the gift donations from many of the restaraunts, bars & nightclubs from around San Diego. (see list below)
A speical thanks to Svedka Vodka and Red Bull Energy Drink for helping out with our drink special. We also would like to make a big thanks to DJ’s FishFonics, DeVoy, Cheyenne Giles and Chirs Liosi for donating their time behind the turntables and providing the music for everyone's entertainment. Thanks to the four StandUp for Kids representatives that were able to come observe all of the support and action on the lanes. And finally a enourmous thank you to East Village Tavern + Bowl for donating the shoes and lanes for the evening and making this all possible!

Fortune Industries will be hosting our 4th Annual Bowling for Turkey event and Industry Tournament on Tuesday, November 16th at 9:30pm. This event is a fundraiser for the StandUp For Kids Organization with 100% of the proceeds going towards homeless teens of San Diego and their Thanksgiving Day Dinner. This event will be a fun filled night of bowling, music, drink specials and prizes taking place at East Village Tavern + Bowl in Downtown San Diego. This is an opportunity to have a great time with your staff during the holiday season while giving back to the community!
StandUp For Kids is an organization committed to finding, stabilizing and otherwise helping homeless youth improve their lives. The focus of this organization includes not only outreach, but deterrence through resource programs in schools and via the internet. They are able to carry out their mission through the help of volunteers and through events like Bowling for Turkey.
The tournament itself is made up of teams of four with an entrance fee of $80. Prizes will be awarded for the highest individual score, highest team score, bowling a turkey (3 strikes) as well as the most spirited team. So don’t hesitate to show your team pride with costumes, matching t-shirts, etc. If you would like to show up for the event to cheer your favorite team but not bowl we have a $10 suggested donation at the door.
Lastly, we are currently collecting prize donations from the bar and nightclub industry to award the winners. Any amount of gift certificate, bottle service or other service that your establishment is willing to offer would be greatly appreciated. These donations are tax deductable and we can give you a tax id upon request.
