Top Picks for the 2012 Swimwear Season
The 2012 swimwear season is starting to creep up on us! As an expert on all things swim, I always keep an eye out for new brands and styles, so I was super excited to hear that Fortune 421 has expanded into swimwear. After checking out the new line, I was definitely pleasantly surprised. Check out my favorite styles below.
The first style that caught my eye is the Sangria swimsuit. Although I usually find myself gravitating toward prints, I definitely own my fair share of solid swimwear styles and this colorful bikini is right up my alley. The magenta pink bikini features tangerine ruffle trim detail, which creates a colorful color-block look—a huge 2012 swimwear trend! I love the long triangle top and tie-side Brazilian bottom combo; as an added plus, the bottom’s back ruched detail will help give the appearance of a shapelier derrière, making it the perfect style for ladies with smaller behinds.

Another one of my favorite Fortune 421 swimwear looks is the soft and ultra-feminine Precious bikini. Pastels are making a comeback in both the swimwear and general fashion world this season and I just love baby pink and baby blue together! The striped seersucker bandeau has a sexy sweetheart neckline and looks adorable with the matching moderate swimwear bottom. Both the top and bottom feature adorable pink bow details… how cute!

Finally, I saved the best for last. I absolutely love the Black Betty bikini because of its classic style. The black shirred bandeau and moderate bikini bottom feature an allover black and white polka dot print as well as black chiffon ruffle detail. Little black bikinis and polka dots are both classic looks for swimwear and when married, it creates a truly timeless look for the beach or pool.

We recently made a trip to another land of fortune- Beijing, China! We were blown away by everything we saw but mostly by the combination of ancient and modern designs found in their art and architecture. So many beautiful, rich colors and prints in the midst the organized chaos... all which make for good bikini prints!

We had the privilege of attending the grand opening on the Dream Hotel on Ocean Ave. with our good friend Bruno who formerly lived in San Diego and currently works at the Gansevoort Hotel. In addition to the conventional cocktails they were also serving Grey Goose popsicles. Not only do they keep you cool but give you a nice little buzz too!

We were so excited when we heard we were going to be hosting the evening for Absolut Swim the night before leaving for Miami Swim Week- such a perfect way to kick it off! We were even more excited to see how many of our L.A. friends came to support. Thanks to Jess McAllister and Table Manners for making this night possible for us : )
We couldn't have asked for better models to represent Fortune 421 Swimwear poolside- just as gorgeous on the inside as they are on the outside.
People kept asking us whether people actually get in the pool to go night swimming. That question was shortly answered after people started stripping down and diving into the pool for a midnight dip! There's something oh so sexy about nighttime pool parties.... We'll definitely be doing another one of these in the near future!

San Diego, California - After 6 years of growing the Fortune 421 Clothing name across America through the nightlife and DJ culture, the team behind this young lifestyle brand is excited to introduce a whole new category. Debuting in the Spring/Summer of 2011 at pool parties around the country will be the first collection of Fortune 421 Swimwear. Designer Cristina Alanis chose timeless fabrics to pair with classic cuts such as triangle and bandeau tops with moderate and Brazilian bottoms. From coast to coast, Fortune 421 perfectly combines the glitz and glamour of Miami with the carefree, understated spirit of San Diego. Made for the classy glamour girl that loves to jet set and go from the pool party to the party at the club, these suits are made to be worn day or night with a cocktail in hand.
With a clear vision for the type of consumer the new line will appeal to the only thing left to do now is find the “perfect girl“ to represent the brand for the 2011 summer season. In order to find her Fortune 421 has created a spokesmodel search to take place at Side Bar Nightclub this coming June. The search will consist of an initial online sign up phase (now until 6/2/11) through the company’s facebook.com/fortune421 fan page. Then it will continue during a series of events with on-site testing to see which contestant has the right skill set and looks to be the first Miss 421 Spokesmodel. During the three weekly events happening Thursday nights at 7pm (6/9/11, 6/16/11, 6/23/11) the group of contestants will be scored on personality, photograph and on camera tests. Online voting from the facebook page will also come into play during the scoring process as well as give the contestants a chance to win a free pre-style from A Style Concierge before each round. Each week the field of contestants will be cut in half until the final week when one of the girls will be announced the winner and take home a prize package worth over $2000
The prize package will include a trip to Las Vegas with Fortune 421 Swimwear, a fashion photo shoot from A Style Concierge potentially to be in a magazine, a three month paid contract from Fortune 421 Swimwear, a three month all access membership and five FIT Body wraps from iTAN Solariums, two Fortune 421 bikinis and four Fortune 421 Clothing items.

If you made it out to Palm Springs this past weekend for Coachella then you most likely saw lots of Fortune 421 running around the desert! We had a pop-up store for the Mist Poolside where we sold our newest styles of Fortune 421 Clothing and debuted our Fortune 421 Swimwear line for 3 days straight at the Agua Caliente Casino. We had our entire new line on display and took some pre-orders giving the opportunity for a few girls to be the first to get their hands on our hot new styles!
Saturday afternoon we had our first ever Fortune 421 Swimwear fashion show along side Love True Love Bikinis ...there was a bit of last minute stress but we pulled it off and succesfully debuted our first collection with great response from the crowd! Donald Glaude was on the decks during the fashion show and played a perfect couple of songs to set the tone for the girls to strut there stuff!
On Sunday our favorite little pup, Wesley Lee, sported his Fortune 421 bandana and chilled out in the shade to stay cool after he got done hunting rabits! He is such a little party animal!
